Patchwork and Bedsteads

Today was Dollshouse Club and Oly came to my house where we sat at my desk, sewing and gluing, and sorting through our stash. I started a new patchwork, something easy on the hands because yesterday I started making an 'Iron Bed'.

This is as far as I got. I drew a pattern on paper, sellotaped the uprights to the paper to keep them still, then twisted and twirled wire - easy? Yes, fairly easy to make one scroll but very difficult to make another match. Then to make four or eight that all look acceptable and something like the same - not easy!
When I went to bed last night my hands, wrists and arms were aching! So today I did miniature patchwork and gave my hands a well earned rest.
We have rain, rain and more rain here so it's been nice to cosy up in my workroom with a good friend and play.

Ladies Dress

It was Dollhouse Club today, any one who follows regularly will know there are only two of us, Oly and me.
We had a go at making a dress with a matching hanger for our Ladies Shops, or to hang on a wardrobe door. We think they were successful so I'm going to make more - I'm on a roll!

When someone joins my site and follows I like to look at their blogs and I'm often amazed at the creativity out there, especially when they make something original and different.

Tuesdays are always happy days because it's 'Dollshouse Club' and Oly comes round to play.
She brought me some shelves she can't use and I gave her some basket straw and cake boxes. We are both like children with smiles on our faces.
Oly was putting together buffet food for her wedding scene and my goodness she must be planning to feed hundreds of guests! I'm sure she will show you on her blog when it's finished.
I was working on gifts for Kaisa's Birthday Swap.
Later the mail arrived and my beautiful hat arrived from Kat the Hat Lady. I don't collect anything witchy at all but have always loved her hats and this pink one was just too hard to resist!

Now I've finished a whole lot of cushions I was working on as well.

Today was as much fun as every Tuesday which has recently become our Dollshouse Club Day. As I've told you on more than one occasion, there are only two of us in our club - Oly and me.
I've been trying to persuade Oly to start a blog as she has an amazing collection of miniatures and is making more all the time plus she's the one that comes up with the bright ideas most of the time.

Cosmetic Display

'The dollshouse Club' as the two of us like to be known on our weekly meet, decided to make cosmetics last Thursday and a very fiddly and time consuming project it turned out to be! Combining it with my new found passion for box making, I completed it tonight, so I thought I'd show it off as it turned out rather better than I'd expected!
