Miniatures Fair - Fuengirola

Another brilliant day! Need I say more?
I've been placing my purchases in their new homes.
From Alicia Volta of Aligra Dolls I bought this worried little girl who looks as if she needs a happy home!
She now sits in a comfy armchair.
Can you see the cute cushion? Oly made it for me. It's stitched on fine silk gauze.

I was unable to resist these teeny little toys from Pinar of PQF. The furry rabbits are flocked, I dread to think of the mess I once made trying to flock something! The biggest rabbit is only 7/8" tall!

I also bought from Pinar a doll for my 144th scale house which has been empty for years!

My Christmas house has been sadly lacking a finished bathroom. At last I've found some tiles! I don't know yet whether they will go on the floor or the walls-maybe both! These are from Sophia Miniatures .
This is the 'before' photo of Santa's bathroom. Just a shelf and one wall covered in some awful blue and silver Christmas wrapping paper. (It seemed a good idea 15 years ago!)
I showed you one of Oly's cushions - here is another she made me, this to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
And in the Jubilee spirit I bought this wonderful glass work from http://www.glasscraftuk.com it's fabulous! I have several pieces of his amazing work.
My other purchases are destined for my Spanish Villa. What Spanish Villa you may well ask. I'm going to finally build my Delprado House and turn it into a Spanish Villa........ one day when I get time!

This last photo is to prove I do eventually finish a project! I made this little doll many years ago, my first and only Fimo doll. She has waited for eyes for years! Finally, two dots with a permanent marker she is finished!

I live in a muddle of unfinished projects, both miniature and full size am I alone?
Have a good week,

Ladies Dress

It was Dollhouse Club today, any one who follows regularly will know there are only two of us, Oly and me.
We had a go at making a dress with a matching hanger for our Ladies Shops, or to hang on a wardrobe door. We think they were successful so I'm going to make more - I'm on a roll!

When someone joins my site and follows I like to look at their blogs and I'm often amazed at the creativity out there, especially when they make something original and different.
Vall has a lovely blog and makes the cutest mice! Take a look at vanilla-miniatures.blogspot.com
I hope you're having a good week,

Open House - Victorian

Happy weekend! It seems most places, in Europe at least, are enjoying summer weather. Doesn't it just raise your spirits, lighten your mood and provide perfect light for making miniatures? My husband has even been in the pool today!

A huge welcome to all my new followers, my blog now has 300 followers! Thank you, every single one for popping in regularly and keeping up with what I'm doing in this wonderful world of miniatures.

Like a lot of collectors in the past I started with a Victorian house. It's sadly neglected, partly due to it being 'finished' and partly because about 15 years ago my interests turned to more modern styles.
I thought I'd open the doors and let in some visitors!

In the kitchen is a chair I bought from Colin Bird, a very fine maker of furniture, during his first fair at London Kensington.
The Bathroom
The floors in the bathroom and kitchen are just paper which I covered with a sheet of clear, sticky backed plastic protects the paper and makes it look like lino or tiles. It's also easier to dust or wipe over with a damp cloth. The rug I stitched one holiday in Tenerife.

In just over a week I'll be welcoming my newest grandson, little Henry to my home for the first time. It's not a big deal for Henry but I imagine his Mum and Dad will be a little stressed travelling for the first time with their son and all the luggage the smallest in the family needs.

I shall spend precious time with my family and put away my miniature making for a while............
Well, maybe I'll have a little sewing to pick up when I'm not cuddling Henry!

Enjoy the sunshine and have a good weekend,

Cushions Again!

During my trip to England and France I made a few more cushions!
It comes as no surprise, it seems cushions draw me!
I love fabric, little prints and hand sewing, also interior design and miniatures so it's natural for me to create cushions!

These are just going on my Etsy shop.
Thanks for looking!
