Tilda Display

This week at our Dollshouse Club meeting the subject was bird houses. My imagination ran amok and I made six.

I wanted the Tilda Blue for part of the display I had in mind. Using one of my Tilda Dolls which I made last week and lots of fabrics and papers I finished putting this together tonight.

 Packets of stickers and labels.
 The view from the back.

Below the display are some pads of paper.
Here are the six birdhouses. The Old Lighthouse, Summer Cottage, Des Res, Picket Fence Tilda Yellow and Tilda Blue.
Thanks for looking!

Slice of Pie? Just pop in at Jilly's Tea Rooms and Gift Shop!

There are new items in the Tea Rooms! Oly has been beavering away making signs, they're gorgeous and she made some for me!

The Violets sign is in the Gift Shop, on the table until I decide where to hang it. The little pink rabbit I bought at Fuengirola.
Also for the Gift Shop are two new bags.

A delivery of fresh pies for the Tea Rooms I bought recently from Kim. You can see her fabulous work on her blog. My photos don't do her work justice, take a look on her blog, meantime, feast your eyes here!

That's all for now, thanks for dropping by!

Six 'Tilda' Dolls

I love Tilda fabrics, so fresh looking and I desperately want to make something Tilda but my home just isn't ready to make room for anything else 'big'.
So, when Oly came on Tuesday to put together a display on some trays we'd bought at the Fuengirola Fair, I decided to make a miniature Tilda display on mine.
The doll was the first thing I made and I enjoyed it so much I spent the evening and the whole of the next day making more!

Now I'm making other things to put on the display with the dolls and I'll need to rearrange my Gift Shop to make room for all these!
The weekend is just about here, I hope you have a good one!

Tapas Tradicionales

It was Dollshouse Club day and we couldn't have wished for a better day! Not only was the weather perfect and we were able to sit outside all day, but Oly arrived with a great pattern to cut out a shop stand which she wanted to make for her cheese and meat display.
It was such a lovely design by Jane Newman that I decided to make one as well as I could use it for my small collection of Spanish food which has never had a proper home.
The background I made by photocopying tiles from a book and printing onto photo paper. I scored the gaps in between the tiles.
The Name 'Tapas Tradicionales' is alphabet pasta which I coloured with felt pen and glued on.
On the left, he square board of bread, cheese and meats is by Amanda Speakman
The round board with meats, bread and a bottle of oil is by Linda Cummings
The meats are hanging on hooks which I made from paper clips.
I bought the meats, the plate of stuffed peppers, the basket of bread, the melon halves and all the other things at the Fuengirola Fair last year.
SPEAKING OF WHICH!!!! The Fuengirols fair is THIS WEEKEND!!!! Sat 8th and Sun 9th of June.
Oly and I will be there as always, maybe we'll see you there!

Flowers for Hazel

This is the flower stand I made as a Christmas gift for my mother Hazel in 1999.

The only flowers I had were tiny dried flowers and I made the roses from punched circles of coloured paper. They look a bit basic to todays standard!

My mum treasured this, she loved flowers.
