Little Boxes and more Tilda!

Sitting outside under the shade of the balcony seemed a good time and place to saw wood! Always a dusty, dirty job best suited to outdoors.
And these are the results as I started to fill them.

The haberdashery boxes are filled with pretty Tilda style fabrics. The big display box is filled with books, reels of ribbon, stickers, fabrics and one tiny Tilda doll.
One little box filled with more than 80 vintage style postcards.
Making boxes is very relaxing for me and now the weather is so good I can leave everything out on the garden table over night, ready for the next day. Loads of time saved by not tidying away!
I hope you have a good week,

  3. Hi Gill!
    I love your Tilda-displays!!!
We have also fine weather here, but I don´t know for how long :D But I really hope that it will remain fine in Grenada, so that you can save much more time without tidying up :-)

  15. I love your work! It's exquisite. It's colourful and uplifting! I have been looking all over for a pattern for the Tilda doll but I can't find one. Where did you get your pattern if you don't mind sharing this information. I don't have a shop. it's just to make one for myself. I would just like the challenge of making one.

    1. Lucille, I don't have a pattern, I made the doll from flesh coloured Fimo. The first one took ages, it kept coming out too big, the head fell off, the legs were odd. I cooked it when it lookd ok then after it cooled I carved her up with a scalpel a bit! She stands at 1 1/2" high. I'm pleased you like her!

  16. Hi Gill! Thank you for explaining your procedure. I would not have the patience to do that. I just want to make a cloth one. I found a place where I can buy a kit so I will just try that.
