New Year Spring Clean

I hate to admit this but I started cleaning my Victorian house for the first time in 6 years! I dust the outside fairly regularly but decided today to empty out each room and have a thorough clean and polish. My goodness, what a difference!
The floor and cupboard tops are shiny!
On the chair next to the warming pan you can see the squirrel cushion Oly stitched for me.
The lady of the house has a birthday! Oly made me the box of chocolates. The perfume bottle and box are by Marlies.
The embroidered slippers are on a rug made from paper and under the bed there is a hidden shotgun, in case of intruders!
This was my first house and I suppose that is why it's my favourite.

  3. Spring cleaning miniatures is so much more fun than RL! Getting reacquainted with each precious tiny thing helps bring it all to life again. This is a lovely room, pretty and comfortable. I specially love the patchwork quilt.

  4. This is such a feminine and pretty bedroom! You have some great details within and the bed quilt is wonderful! A clean dollhouse is a Happy doll's house and Spring Cleaning can happen, even in the summer!

  5. What a beautiful bedroom! It's true that a spring cleaning can make all the difference, it's amazing all the dust that can enter a dollhouse, and not mini dust.

  7. What a lovely room. It's nice to have a bit of a blitz now and then - it can turn up little items that may have been forgotten and makes it exciting all over again.

    1. Hi Luli, I'm very happy you like my blog and all my miniatures, thank you for your nice comments.
The furniture I made from a kit, purchased in the early 90s, I think I bought it from Hobby's Magazine. They do have a website but their furniture is now different. Gill. http://hobby.uk.com/
