Online Fair Purchases Arrived!

Another blog so soon because I would like you to see what arrived in the post today as I've been waiting impatiently for my purchases from the online fair. here
Easter is my favourite season - the sugar colours, the spring weather, lambs, rabbits and chicks. I've been working on an Easter scene for a long time and when I saw this lamb and cart by Tower House Dolls I just had to have it!

These pretty tea pots also arrived. They were made by Lory They will look perfect in my Tea Shop.

 Obviously I shall be playing today!

Tea Shop 'Cake' and 'Bake'

I wanted the word CAKE for the Tea Shop and so I made the letters from polymer clay and glued them to a piece of wood, then painted them a couple of times.

 Then I made BAKE for the bakery and it sits above the preparation board Kaisa made for me.

I had trouble with JILLY as the 'I' and the 'Y' have such small bases they kept falling off when I tried to paint them, plus the paint was a bit thick which didn't help.

Lindsey's Cupcakes

Cupcakes have grabbed me big time, I mean, just how many cupcakes does a teashop need? I've made six of every kind and filled loads of boxes and plates with them.They are so cute and fairly easy to make but I know when enough's enough!

Now, I'll move on and make some other goodies for the teashop. Lindsey, by the way is the Lovely Linds my son is engaged to -she makes the real thing!

Jugs in the Teashop

I've been noticing some really cute jugs/pitchers around lately and found a site which offered a pattern to make them from paper but the site wasn't working. I was really disappointed for a couple of weeks, then, quite by chance I found another site with a pattern! They are such fun to make and the results are very pretty. Here is a photo of one that I've made, on a tray made by my friend Bob which I painted, with some dessert bowls and the finest little spoons I bought years ago at a fair.

Typical of me, I got on a roll with the jugs and now have a few more than I need but I'll soon find homes in my other houses and shops.
